Camp Scholarships are available! Any Littles in our community-based
program, whether they are matched or waiting for a match, may apply for a camp scholarship to help reduce the cost of attending one camp of their choice per year.

Reminder for Bigs: Big Brothers Big Sisters does not advocate that Bigs and Littles “friend” each other. Bigs need to discuss with parent and match specialist and have received their approval before friending their Little.
Bigs that want to post any photos of their Little on a social networking
site need to get written permission from parent and match specialist prior to
posting online. Contact your match specialist for an online permission form, a copy of our agency guidelines, and to discuss details concerning the use of Facebook and other online social networking sites with your Little.

We have a limited number of vouchers available to community-based matches to ride the S.S. Badger carferry from Manitowoc to Ludington and back again. Preference will be given to Bigs and Littles that have not gone in the past year. Call our office for more

Farmers’Market opens soon! Check it out with your Little! Open on Saturdays, May 18 – October 26, from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays, June 11th – October
8th, noon – 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot between the Manitowoc Public Library and the river.

Volunteer/Community Service Project: Bigs may contact Cory Neuser at Felician Village in Manitowoc if you are interested in making a commitment to visit one specific resident once a month as a community service project that will benefit you, your Little, and an elderly resident. Call 684-7171 and ask for Cory.

Empire Beauty School offers these services at no cost to Littles;
- Haircuts, Scalp Treatments, Basic Facials, Kids cuts, Basic Manicures, Bang/beard trim, Basic Pedicures and Hair styling (blow dry, curling iron, roller set etc.)
They will no longer be offering discounts on the following services:
- Perms, Highlights, Paraffin hand or foot dips, Colors and Waxing services
“The Day-Maker Program” hours are now Monday –Wednesday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Be sure to call BBBS to request an eligibility voucher for each appointment. Be sure to identify yourself as a Daymaker when calling for an appointment.
